Published: 10.7.2025

GS Microelectronics US, Inc., a leading semiconductor service provider based in North America, has announced the acquisition of Muse Semiconductor to expand multi-project wafer MPW services built on TSMC processes.

GS Microelectronics Strengthens MPW Services with Acquisition of Muse Semiconductor

MPW services allow multiple IC designs to share a single wafer, significantly reducing the cost of early-stage chip development. This acquisition broadens GSME’s service portfolio by integrating Muse’s MPW expertise, giving universities, startups, and emerging tech companies with a more accessible and cost-efficient path from prototype to production.

GSME stated that the deal strengthens its position within the TSMC ecosystem, enabling it to provide a more seamless design-to-manufacturing experience. With Muse’s established relationships in academic and research communities, GSME gains access to a broader innovation network and customer base across North America, Europe, and Asia.

“Muse Semiconductor isn’t just a company, it’s a vital gateway to silicon realization,” said Farhat Jahangir, CEO of GS Microelectronics. “This acquisition reinforces our commitment to empowering creators across the semiconductor ecosystem, from the first prototype to the millionth chip.”

Muse Semiconductor’s co-founders noted that existing customers will continue to receive the same level of personalized service, now supported by GSME’s global infrastructure and supply chain expertise.
